UPSC Notification 2017
Candidates who are applying for this notification should fulfill all eligibility criteria for entrance exam. Their admission at all the stages of the exam will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Admission certificate to the applicants will be issed will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the commission.
Verfication of eligibility conditions with reference to the original documents should to the council hall, candidates who qualifies for the Interview/Personality test .

Last date of submission of applications :
The online submission can be filled on or before the 3rd Marck 2017 till 6:00 PM
NB: notwithstanding the aforesaid provision, Commission reserves the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands. Candidates admitted to the examination will be informed of the time table and place or places of examination. Candidates should note that no request for change of centre will be granted. 2(a). The categories of post to which recruitment is to be made on the results of this examination and the approximate number of vacancies in the various posts are given below:- Category I : (Posts in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines).
(i) Geologist, Group A : 40
(ii) Geophysicist, Group A : 40
(iii) Chemist. Group A : 25

Candidates shall be issued an e-Admission certificate two weeks before the commencement of the examination .Certificate e-Adminssion will be available on the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in .
Candidates must and should download from the website. No post will be sent to individuals . All the candidates are required to provide valid email id while filling the online details while filling up Online Application Form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them at different stages of examination process.
Mobile Phones Banned:
Cell phones, Other communication devices are not allowed in the exam hall premises.If candidates breaks the rules there will be entail disciplinary action like may ban from future examinations .
