GCET is an exam conducted by the DTE Goa for admissions to first year of professional degree courses in colleges located in Goa. GCET 2017 application form will be announced by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa. Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) will be conducted for admission to the first year professional degree courses in engineering, ayurveda, homeopathy, pharmacy, nursing and allied health sciences. GCET 2018 including application form, important dates, exam pattern, syllabus, etc.
Important dates for GCET 2018
GCET 2018 exam dates have been declared.
- 2nd week of May 2018-Physics and Chemistry
- 2nd week of May 2018-Mathematics and Biology
- Candidates must be an Indian
- NRI holding Indian passport may also apply.
- Foreign Nationals have to apply to Govt. of India.
- Candidate must have appeared and obtained valid score in GCET 2018.
- For Architecture, Candidate must have appeared and obtained valid score in NATA.
- Candidates should have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination.
- Also candidate should have minimum percentage of marks.
Here is the process
Candidate has to follow the below mentioned step to fill the GCET 2018 online application form:
Step 1: Candidates are required to download and take a print out of GCET 2018 prospectus available on the website of the Directorate of Technical Education.
Step 2: The prospectus contains two different forms Application Form A and Form B along with Photo Admit card.
Step 3: The candidate have to fill their personal details in Application Form A.
Step 4: Candidates need to submit a draft of 1500 in the favor of Director of Technical Education
Step 5: The form needs to be submitted along with Demand Draft, three passport size and self-attested photocopies and 12th standard passing certificates. Students need to submit Application Form B only after the declaration of results.
Exam pattern of GCET 2018
GCET 2018 will be based on the syllabus of Class 12. The exam will include questions from three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Each subject will have 75 questions and exam duration is 2 hours For every correct answer, candidate will be awarded one mark each and there will no negative marking for multiple or wrong answers.
